Columbia College's Career and Employment Services Team
The Career and Employment Services team are knowledgeable about the current labour market and provide students and graduates with career and employment-related services. Career and Employment Services provide support in the areas of: job-seeking strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, application forms, and other employment-related activities. Career and Employment Services actively seek to develop relationships and partnerships with employers, community agencies, and Columbia College faculty and staff to identify employment, practicum/work experience, and volunteer opportunities for our students and graduates.

Maria received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Brock University. She went on to earn a Diploma in Child and Youth Work and a Certificate in Human Resources Management. After being introduced to coaching and experiencing the power of change, she pursued professional development through the Coaches Training Institute where she learnt the principles of Co-Active Coaching and the Dale Carnegie Institute (returning 5 times as a Graduate Leader). Maria has spent the last 10+ years dedicated to helping others achieve results. It is her belief that everyone has the power to create the life they want. Aly holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and is currently working towards completing her Masters of Education with a focus on Adult Education and Global Learning, through Queen’s University. With 7 years of experience providing successful career coaching, Aly believes in the possibility of securing dream jobs. Michael Campbell Community Support Services-Employment Services Coordinator |

Michael holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge and currently works as the Employment Services Coordinator in the Community Support Services Department. As the Services Coordinator, Michael and his team work with persons with developmental disabilities in preparing for and maintaining competitive and independent employment throughout the city of Calgary. Michael has years of experience working within public and private education as well as the mental health professions. During his tenure with Columbia College, Michael has been the Assistant Manager for the Target and Employment Strategies programs as well as Department Manager for Academic Upgrading, Education Assistant, Student Services, Human Services and Special Projects.
